Welcome to 10th Grade Honors/AP prep Literature course.
This class is designed to prepare students for the AP Literature course and preparation for the advanced placement test. Because this is an honors class I have high expectations of students, but believe that every student can succeed if willing to put forth the effort and time needed to thrive in this class.
Class objectives:
1. To be able to write a well crafted essay within a timed manner.
2. To be able to analyze and understand the meaning of what is read effectively using literary devices
3. To read and understand poetry
4. To have an above average reading comprehension level
5. To be able to apply concepts and themes in literature to real life situations
